Day 8 - Green

Since Camden was born, I decided that I would make his baby food to help save money and to make sure he was getting only the fruits and vegetables needed and not preservatives etc. To take the money saving another level higher, I planted a veggie garden. Since it is still cold outside, the garden is currently in our sun room. These are my pea plants! I love how it has curled up around itself, it looks sort of whimsical to me.  My settings were F 9, EXP 1/800.

Day 3- Metal

Yes, I know I'm a day behind! We were gone all day yesterday because Brandon's hard drive crashed so we had to go get it fixed. Here is my Metal picture-

I just re-discovered this watch yesterday, so I thought it would make a good subject! My settings were- F 7.1, Exp 1/125, ISO 1600.

Day 2- Blue

Today's challenge was blue. Since we have a baby boy, we are surrounded by blue things! It might seem like that would make this easy, but it made it a little more difficult as well. There are so many cute blue things around our house that it was hard to choose! This is the highchair that we put together tonight for Camden. I love the owls!

Here are my settings- F 11, Exp 1/50, ISO 1600

Day 1- Light

Today's challenge was light. I knew I should have waited until it was nicer outside to do this one! There wasn't a whole lot of sunlight today, but I made the best of it. This one didn't even need editing!

My settings were- F-7.1, Exp 1/640, ISO 1600.

I'm in it to end it!

I have posted before that I am participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. Each participant is supposed to raise $1800, so to help me reach my goal I have been making and selling jewelry. Here are the designs that I have made so far-

Bracelets are $6 and necklaces are $14. The necklaces have sterling sliver charms and Swarovski crystals. I can take requests also - so if you have something in mind that you would like me to create, please email me at csbe10@yahoo.com. Please note that I do not make anything off of these, all profit goes to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. You can also help by making a donation here.

A year ago our lives were changed for ever. I found out I was pregnant on February 28th, which was a Sunday. I told Brandon the next day (Monday) and we were thrilled! He was so excited that he couldn't hold it in, so we told his dad that night and by the end of the week our whole families knew. Tuesday we were told that the house we were renting had sold and we had one month to find a new place to live. We looked at a couple of houses and talked to the bank Wednesday and Thursday. Friday night we looked at four or five different houses. We really liked one of them, so we put in a proposal and we got the house! Within one week we had found out we were having a baby, needed to move and bought a house!

We've been in our new house for almost a year now. Our son is here and lighting up our world. It's amazing how much life can change in just one year. I couldn't be happier!
